Workout
“Lynne”
5x max reps of:
Body weight bench press
Pull-ups

For Lynne as rx’d, each “round” is 5 minutes long.

Start your BP on the minute, complete as many as possible without racking the weight. Once you have completed the BP, start your Pull-ups. Complete as many Pull-ups as possible (your set is complete once you release the bar). Now rest for what remains of the original 5 minutes (e.g. if it takes you 2 minutes to BP and do the Pull-ups, rest 3 minutes). Repeat 4 more time. Got it? (As an aside…do the exercise that you are weakest in first. E.g. for me, that of course means I do pull-ups before bench pressing)

Post reps for both exercises in all rounds

Oh, man…I usually take Tue off, but that is too good of a workout to miss! As much as I will hate it while I’m doing it, I will be there!

haha Sharon is better than I, rest day for me – I am going to go talk to the Indy Rowing club – see if maybe we (titanfitters) can have some on the water training, and in turn maybe get some of them to come to Titanfit!

I saw this quote on the comments in the journal: In the words of Coach Rippetoe, “Strong people are harder to kill than weak people, and more useful in general.

based on today’s effort, Rip was NOT talking about me.

I could not, would not have completed this without the help of Tuttle and Fuller.

Thank you for pushing me, not letting me stop and most of all, picking up the weight each time i failed.

    Sharon:

you did an AWESOME job. I love that you keep plugging away and we all can see the results of your efforts. give me a team of Sharons and i could win almost any sport. well any sport that isn’t like you know, basketball or something for tall people.

Looks like there were several excellent efforts by everyone tonight, as usual. Sorry I missed it. I have to second what Herb said about Sharon – she has been awesome in her enthusiasm and hard work – and she is now reaping all the benefits she deserves. A great role model for us all!

I hope to come on Wed to workout there.

I’m blushing! But, very thankful for ALL of you because I couldn’t keep it up without your support (and of course my hubby, Bill helps too), thanks!

this WOD sucked. it was one of those that i saw on the board and thought, “man…this looks easy!” and then about :30 in i wanted to quit.

  9. DJ on Wednesday 7, 2009

but it is always easier to do the WOD last – thats a good wod – we need to name this one!

  10. Herb on Wednesday 7, 2009

Since she came in on her off day and it was her first 5 round workout…I say we name it Sharon.
